Heartland Roofing Consultants was built around one principle: the person who inspects your roof should have no financial stake in what you decide to do next.

The founding principle

Built independent by design. Not as a positioning statement.

Most roofing firms are contractors first. They carry crews, manage material supply chains, and earn their margin on what gets installed. When a contractor recommends replacement, they are recommending their own revenue.

Heartland was structured to remove that incentive entirely. No crew. No material contracts. No manufacturer relationships. The firm earns its revenue from documented findings and accurate reports. The recommendation is the product, and its only value is whether it is correct.

The Level 3 certification

The highest thermography certification available. The only one in Nebraska.

The Level 3 infrared thermography certification is not a marketing designation. It is the highest competency tier recognized by the American Society for Nondestructive Testing, the governing body for thermography in industrial and commercial application.

Level 3 is the highest certification tier issued by the American Society for Nondestructive Testing (ASNT).

A Level 3 thermographer designs inspection protocols, interprets ambiguous readings, and validates the work of lower-tier technicians.

Most firms operating in commercial roofing hold Level 1 or Level 2 certification, which qualifies for data capture but not independent interpretation.

Heartland Roofing Consultants is the only firm in Nebraska certified at Level 3.

The certification is company-attributed. It belongs to the firm, not to an individual who can leave.

The independence model

No crew. No material margin. No manufacturer incentive.

These are not marketing claims. They are structural facts about how the firm operates. They are also why Heartland's findings are usable in contexts where a contractor recommendation is not: insurance claims, bond deliberations, capital planning, and procurement processes where independence is required.

No crew

Heartland does not employ roofing installers. There is no payroll pressure to find work for a crew. The inspection is the entire scope.

No material margin

Heartland has no supply agreements with membrane manufacturers, insulation suppliers, or roofing distributors. What we recommend is never influenced by what we can sell.

No manufacturer incentive

Many inspection firms hold manufacturer certifications that create implicit bias toward those manufacturers' products. Heartland holds none.

Zach holds Level 3 certification in infrared thermography from the American Society for Nondestructive Testing. That certification is the highest tier available and the only one held by any firm in Nebraska. It is what makes independent interpretation of thermal data possible, and it is what every HRC finding is built on.
